Nice lake where dogs can swim

Going south on Almaden Expwy turn left at the lights at Via Monte into the Water District parking lot. Then follow the trail either left or right around the lake.

New dog park, with Astro turf-like grass. Big and Small dog areas. Slightly smaller than Los Gatos Creek.

Go south on Camden Ave, past the Hillsdale fork, (Just past Leigh) its about 1,000ft past the split on the left.

Every Wednesday evening downtown Campbell has a dog-friendly evening. Most restaurants have outside seating where you can eat with your dog.

A great, long beach where dogs are allowed offleash

The entrance and large parking lot can only be reached by driving south on Skyline Blvd (Highway 35). Go past the traffic light at John Muir Blvd and up the hill. You'll see a small sign on the right, near the top of the hill

a very very big dog park. one of the biggest i've been to. nothing for the dogs to run into, (except people). no shade though but us husky owners usally go during the later hours while it's cool anyways. only problem there's no small dog park so the lil' ones will be in the park also.

Enter the Park at the Softball Complex.

Turn onto Hellyer Ave from Hwy 101 and follow it around to the stop sign, go straight, past the ranger parking pay station, and continue straight until you get to the dog park.
The map shows alternative street parking to avoid the $6 fee.

K-9 clinic is a dog training school that has everything from obedience classes, to special certifications (therapy dogs, iron dogs), to fun days at the beach or park and boot camps for dogs with behavioral challenges. The clinic makes it fun to train your dog and uses a variety of methods, starting with positive reinforcement and motivation training. For dogs with behavioral challenges, compulsion training and prong collars are used. Boot camps have a high success rating for dogs with behavioral challenges and "transfer" of leadership skills and working with your dog is done in one or 2 sessions. The classes are really fun and even dogs in the basic class get to do some agility work in tunnels and on ramps so its more fun than just doing sit/stays and recalls. Distraction training happens right there in class where you can work your dog under the distraction of other dogs doing their thing. Each class will have several trainers/handlers and the owner oversees the classes and dogs, uses headsets with the trainers to guide them in classes and while making recommendations to owners as he watches the dogs and owners work together. Its a very professionally run facility and fun too!

From Santa Cruz
Take Hwy 1 South
Take the Freedom Blvd. Exit
Turn left onto Freedom Blvd. at stop sign
Follow Freedom Blvd. approximately 5 miles
At stop sign turn left onto Corralitos Rd.
Turn right onto Varni
Go straight through stop sign
Varni turns into Pioneer Rd.
Look for the white and blue K-9 Clinic sign on the left hand side
Turn left onto Pioneer View Rd.
The K-9 Clinic is on the left hand side

BBQ place in Los Gatos with patio seating (if the weather's nice) that allows dogs. Depending on who is working at the time the dogs may be allowed inside.

Going south on 17 exit lark, make a left, then a right on Los Gatos Blvd. It's 2 lights up and you'll make a left into a shopping center where there's a Pet food express and Carl's Junior.

Otherwise, you can just take Bascom and it turns into Los Gatos Blvd.

Nice dog park, with big and small areas.
Now has K9 plastic grass.
Also has several miles of good easy walking trails, around the perk ponds and beyond.
