This place is great! An outdoor mall that’s entirely dog friendly in beautiful Palo Alto! People need to shop and dogs need to walk; there’s no better way to combine the two. This mall has everything from Neiman Marcus (my favorite) to Starbucks (of course). It just feels great to able to walk into a Sharper Image or Nike store with a cup of strawberry Italian soda and your pup on your side.

One caveat, the usual suspects of handbag dogs and retrievers most commonly peruse the property with their owners. Due to this, almost everyone will try and approach your malamute or husky. If you or your pooch aren’t accustomed to such paparazzi, then its best to avoid the place till everyone is properly socialized. Remember, California has very strict animal bite laws that give the owner strict liability under most circumstances and defense to prevent recovery is usually based on provocation, negligence, or assumption of risk; difficult to successfully defend if you bring your dog to a public shopping area with children.
